Take a vendor's price per milligram from the board. Multiply by your dose in milligrams and you have cost per dose — that is all this does, with the vial size and water volume handled so the syringe units come out right at the same time. A vendor at $4.50/mg is $11.25 for a 2.5 mg dose and $5.63 for 1.25 mg. Enter what you paid and the calculator shows it live, alongside how many weeks the vial lasts at your schedule.
Because it changes nothing about cost and everything about whether you can measure the dose. A 5 mg vial in 1 mL puts 0.25 mg at 5 units, the floor of what reads accurately. In 2 mL it is 10 units.
